Default lx deore

my brothers got a lx deore rear mech lying around until he gets his new bike,im going to ask him if i could get it but i want to know if i was to fit it would i be best to get a new cassette,crankset and chain?

Zoom oversized suspension(need new suspension)
need new wheels or lighter ones in black

Are you talking about a deore mechanical disc brake?

Oh, ok. You wouldnt need anything new unless its a different speed then your bike. If you have a 7 or 8 speed cassete and the deraileur is set up for a 9 you need anew wheelset and a new cogset.

Actually the gear range on the rear derr. is determined by the shifter. As long as a derr can cover the range from the smallest to largest cog it will work. Almost every shimano rear derraelleur is 7/8/9 speed compatible.

well i got the lx deore mech on my bike because my ****ty shimano MEGARANGE snapped,then wen i put the deore on my fukin chain snapped
