Default Buying a new bike

Hi all
I'm in the market for a new hard tail
I have chosen a Norco torrent
the problem being that I live in Australia and there are none available in the country for another 8 months.
Is it feasible to pursues from overseas and import myself.
Has anyone had experience doing this.
If this is unadvisable what would be a better product to consider
regards and thanks Ben

Postage from, say, the US will kill what might be a great deal unless you can get it included in the purchase price. Dont know what the customs and excise situation is but would be worth enquiring before you commit.

I would think that to have it shipped to Australia would be very expensive. If I were you I would wait the 8 months, I know it may be hard, but if you could wait I am sure you would be saving a bundle of money. Also there is no harm in checking how much it would be if it tuns out to be a lot wait or if it is not that much go for it, one thing to consider is how long it will take to get to you, you dont want to order it and be waiting 2 months for it to get to you.
-Good Luck!
