Default Kona singlespeed

The local shop mentioned the idea of me using a Kona singlespeed (freewheel) for commuting. I like the idea a lot, but has anyone here had any experience with the Kona?

Kona make some very nice bikes in my opinion. Though each individual is different. Ask the dealer to let you test ride it, I dont think I've ever been to a shop that wouldnt let you ride before you buy.

As if fate would have it my next bike is going to be a Kona Smoke, I'm going to use it for my wet bike and the first thing I'm going to do is convert it to a SS/FW swap hub.

If you're talking about an Unit or Explosif they're excellent steel bikes, the ride is nice and can be had as a complete bike for less than a grand.

Mine is over 2 years old and love it. It was built from the frame up, Kona's version has a rigid fork and v-brakes.
