Has anyone ridden the new track in Newport? Whats it like? How does it compare to Manchester?

Never been to Manchester and it was my first time on a fixed and a track. You know you see all these silly polls about "is cycling better than sex", well I think I riding on a track has to be the best fun I have had on a bike in years. It took hours to wipe the grin off my face. Unluckily I live down mid-Devon so the club only makes it up occasionally, maybe I should move to Wales. Anyway seemed a great track to me and people very pleasant

Hi,

Quite a few of members from my old club ride down there. Never heard any bad reports about the place.

If you want to find out some more, or ask some questions go to www.severnroadclub.co.uk.

I think they may have a section on the track.

This reply may be too late, if it is i hope you had fun

I've no comparison but it is regarded as one of the best in the world.

I'm only 20mins from Newport so the track will form an important part of my winter training for cyclo-cross.
