You damn Aussies are everywhere!
I see that Mr Lange and co. have some issues regarding the sprint finishes. "Too much flickin'"...

Quoted from Cyclelab:
"SA's Malcolm Lange and Owen Hannie are disgusted with the behaviour in the bunch finish sprints at the Tour de Langkawi. “In South Africa you hold your line in the bunch finish, but here they seem to try anything to win the stage; I even had Pagliarini switch in front of me,” said a disappointed Lange. He was supported by Hannie who described the bunch finishes in Malaysia as “total chaos” and “very dangerous”. “The South African team could be a force if we were able to form a train and work together at the end, but that’s easier said than done,” added Hannie. Hannie was SA’s top finisher again in the fifth stage, crossing the line in 24th place, while Lange was 35th, four places behind Pagliarini. Overall David George is just 52 seconds behind Aussie’s Nathan O’Neill, while Morne Bester is still in the hunt with just one minute 19 seconds separating him from the top place."

Looks like an overall win for a Colombia-Selle Italia rider to me. Well positioned now and the Genting Highlands ahead...
Have you guys seen that climb on t.v.? Nothing I can say can do justice to the steepness and misery. Great pros hunched over the bars trying to crank out ridiculously easy granny gears. It really is a sight. Interesting format for a tour. FLAT, FLAT, FLAT, STRAIGHT UP! I would think that adding a team time trial could jazz it up a bit.

Watch David George at Genting. He is only @38 secs. He had a great climb last year and has been sitting pretty until now. He will have to get past the Columbians though.

the climb to Genting is 44km long but has there's only a height difference of about 1650meters.
Which means the climb only has an average gradient of 4%(or even a little less. Which means it's not for the real climbers but for power animals(or now people early in form). Certainly as the last k's seems to flat out. This is something for a Botero type kind a heavy bloke with lots of power. If you still want to bet on climbers: Most dangerous guys are(FRom those less then 1min down and which I Know): 4 Hernan Dario Munoz (Col) Colombia-Selle Italia 5 Martinez Freddy Gonzalez (Col) Colombia-Selle Italia both columbinas which says enough and less then 20secs down 9 Fortunato Baliani (Ita) Formaggi Pinzolo Fiave' now second in mountains classification might have a go for the general mountains classification, show nice form 13 Paolo Lanfranchi (Ita) Ceramiche Panaria-Fiordo Ex-Mapei top places in several big tours 18 Marco Serpellini (Ita) Lampre Strong bloke 22 Dave Bruylandts (Bel) Marlux-Ville De Charlerois Docter Dave Young rider not a top climber but stil very good uphill, once belonged to UCI top100 keen to proof Domo wrond for letting him go and get Back to a TT1 next year

I think like you have said that Hurmun Munoz will win it this year like last.I remember him beating Robert Hunter on the highland stage and winning the race and i think he can do it this year and the picture of the guy on the ground, i know the feeling.
