Smile 29" wheels

Has anyone tried or bought a Mountain bike with 29" wheels. What's your thoughts, I am in the market for a new bike.

I haven't ridden one, but a mech at a lbs has one and races it. he likes it for all the advertised reasons...mostly that it rolls over rocks and logs better than 26ers.

gary fisher is the only maker of 29ers that I'm aware of, so tires, tubes, forks, and whatever else specific to the 29ers will be harder to find than 26 inch stuff. it might be the future, but the future just isn't all the way here quite yet.
