ok soo when u go buy a brand new fork do u have to get the steer tube cut so it fits ur bike
i never bought a new fork so i have noooo idea!!! ![]() |

Yep, you'll need to have it cut to the proper size. Any bike shop will do it for cheap. You can also do it yourself with a hacksaw. Just cut straight and measure right. You will also need to install a starnut and remove the headsets baseplate from the old fork and transfer it to the new one. |

one thing i'd add is to get them to leave a little extra steerer so that you can fine tune your stem height with spacers before you decide on a final height, an extra 30-40mm can make a big difference and you can't get them to glue it back on if they cut it too short
