Question I need some advice!

Hello,
I have a couple of question, so if someone could help me it would be very nice.

1. Mechanical Disc Brakes vs. Hydraulic Disc Brakes : pros and cons of each, wich one is the best, is it worth it to buy the Hydraulic?

2. What do they mean by Fork 100mm Travel? And what is wheel travel?

3. Dual Suspension vs. Hardtail : pros and cons of each, wich one is the best?

Thanks a lot!!!

your questions are very broad. I will answer some as well as I can.
1 . Both types of brakes work well - If you set them up right.
Avid makes a good mechanical disn brake for not a lot of money.
Hayes makes some good hydros - a bit more expensive and harder set up for more performace.
2. 100mm = 4" of fork movement.
I am not sure what you mean by wheel travel but I am guessing you mean rear wheel travel in a FS(full suspension bike)
3. people swear by both types of bikes - I have one of each.
it is a personal choice like chocolate or vanilla

for number 3:

full suspension:
-good for downhill
-good for freeride
-allows you to take bigger drops without breaking components and getting injured
-a lot more expensive
-usually heavier
-is often too "bouncy"

hardtail:
-good for XC
-light and strong
-very firm, rigid feel that many prefer
-cheaper
-makes taking large drops extremely hard
-harder to control on a downhill
-provides a bumpier ride
-not as good for freeride

there ya go. it's all a preference. If you're a beginner it might be a good idea to start on a hardtail. try out each at a bike shop and see what you like better.
