After a very intense effort such as a 20km TT I often experience an odd sensation in my ears. It is as if my ears need equalising when landing in a plane (hope that makes sense). There is nothing I can do to alleviate it except wait for it to disappear.
Can anyone shed any light on why this happens ? Thanks Peter |

A guy at work was taking to me about something similar that happens to him, just yesterday.
He has mild tinnitus (background ringing in the ear) and he noticed on a hard ride that he was getting, what he desribed as, an "echo effect" in one ear. I have noticed that I have to shout at him on the bike, so suggested that he get his ears looked at and possibly cleaned out. |
