road stem on mtb?
hi guys,
assuming that it fits on the mtb otherwise (in terms of clamp size and position and so on), is there any reason not to mount a road-specific stem on an mtb (e.g. stiffness, durability etc.) ? do some of you use road-specific stems in your mtb's ? thanx |

yeah the clamp size is different and that would make things very difficult
anyway a decent MTB stem is not that expensive, you can get cheap parts on ebay for next to nothing

Road stems will not work. They are 26.0 and MTB are 25.4 Do not reccomend using as you are on your own.
They are both the same either way.
