Hi All
I purchased a Trek Liquid 10 at a good price a month or so ago. I am ready to upgrade form the Psylo C stock shocks, however I am a little unsure of what to get. I would really like to keep adjustable travel at the front as I like what it does to the bike so I am looking for something with travel in the 80-130mm (or 100 to 130mm) range. Lockout or some kind of stable platform technology would be nice also however not mandatory. I am 90kgs so I need something solid and my options are: Rock Shox Psylo Race – Most favoriable option so far as they are cheap over here in the UK compared to the other forks. Fox Talas RL or RLS – nice fork however very expensive over here. MANITOU SHERMAN – seem like a nice fork however don’t have lock out. Can anyone give any recommendation or other options, especially someone who has done a similar upgrade to the liquid? All help appreciated. Cheers Darren |

The only stable platform forks currently available in the 130mm travel range are the Manitou Minute series and the Sherman Firefly. They don't have lockout but really don't need it. Thats the whole point of SPV. Both forks can be adjusted between 4 to 5 inches of travel. The other option with adjustable travel is the FOX Float TALAS like you said. The Psylo SL is also a good choice and is rather cheap. |

I see the '04 Liquids come with Manitou Minutes. So I guess Trek thinks those are suitable. Not cheap though!
