Just bought my first bike on ebay. Started by looking at a Wally bike. After going to a bike shop, I realized that wasn't the way to go.
So I got the itch to buy a real bike. My budget was $300-$400 Tops. Then i saw a Motobecane for about $425 + shipping on Ebay from Sprtymama, but after reading from this forum, I felt she was untruthful about her product. She runs the website that she quotes the bloated full retail. So I took the advice of many here about buying a higher quality used bike. I ended up with a 1999 Proflex K2 Animal for $279. And its close enough to pick up so there are no shipping charges. I don't know much about bikes and was wondering if I could get any feedback. The specs are below or you can copy and paste the address to see the bike. Sorry for the winded post. Thank you 1999 FULL SUSPENSION PROFLEX K2 ANIMAL MOUNTAIN BIKE, size is large SRAM PC-99 COMP CHAIN, SRAM 9.0 GRIP SHIFT GEAR PACKAGE TO INCLUDE 9.0 COMP CASSETTE, NITROGEN CHARGE REAR SHOCK( BEAUTIFUL),KOOKA CRANKS, NEW BIG AND MED RINGS IN FRONT, HYDRALIC SEAL BRAKES RITCHEY SPD PEDALS, GIRVIN CHUBBY FRONT SPRING ADJUSTABLE FORK, AND 2,1 HUTCHINGSON TIRES.
