Default Has anyone used Electroluminescent tape?

I'm curious if anyone has tried any of the electroluminescent tape or EL wire products on the market. They're low power consumption, and would make the bicycle super visible, like a neon sign. I've seen one "bicycle" kit for sale at Nashbar, but it looks like it would be easy enough to do a simple custom job with a generic kit. I've seen inverters that run on two AA batteries, 9V batteries, and 12V. There are a lot of places that sell the stuff. If you aren't familiar with the stuff, look at this:

http://www.beingseen.com/flatlite.html

Has anyone used it, and what were your experiences.

Cheers!

Hi John,

We are a company in England that has utilised EL Flatlite tape for the exact purpose of increasing cyclists safety. Our URL is 'www.safe-and-seen.co.uk' or you can contact me at 'sales@safe-and-seen.co.uk'.
I'll be intrigued to get any feedback you may have to offer with regards to the Lumin8er. Its new, its innovative and its available for anyone from joggers to motorbikers.
Thanking you in advance John for any comments you may have to offer.

Kind Regards

Keith Sturch
