Lightbulb Traveling with Bikes

Me and 5 others are going to the 2004 tour with a touring company... We are planing on going a few days early to sightsee in Paris and get over the jetlag...

How hard will it be to get 6 people with bikes from the airport (CDG) to the hotel in Paris? Will the public transportation(buses) take bikes on board? I've heard taxi's won't even bother with bikes? Any ideas? Maybe very close hotel's to the airport?

The touring company will be picking up from the airport..but just wanted to go a little early, if it is not going to be to big of a problem.

The Blue Vans are reliable, big enough to accomodate your bike box, and about half the price of a cab ride from CDG to downtown Paris. Go here for info and reservations:

Have fun on your trip!
