I want to congratulate Martin Taylor and his brother Andre for winning the Hartebeespoort race outright on their Tandem. They completed the race in 2:36:28 with an average speed of 39,16 km/h........WOW!!!!! This included Hekmoord and that "slegte meisie" Saartjies (nek). What chuffs me even more is that they won Andrew Mcclean and all the other guys with their half a bikes!!!!!!! (A tandem is a whole bike!!!) The half a bikes could not close the gap on this murdering course!!! What an achievement!!!!!!!!
Martin is my protege and he introduced me to the world of tandem cycling and racing. Keep those wheels spinning !!!!!!!! Big H |

That Saartjies climb is a killer, especially because it's at the end of the race. Well done!!
