Default Vuelta, Gold jersey Mascot??

Hey Gang,
Does anyone know what that big blue thing is on the stage when they present the gold jersey at the end of the stage? I guess it's a sponsor mascot or something but i would really like to know for sure

I've searched and search for the answer to this but with no luck. I e-mailed Unipublic, checked the website for "Galicia," the sposor whose name appears on the background of the podium when Nozal receives his gold jerseys. No response from Unipublic and no mascots with large blue heads pictured.

I also posted a query on the OLNtv community website and the only response I got was the sugestion that perhaps Marco Pantani is inside the mascot suit. Maybe this is his way of getting on the podium!

Please let me know if you learn the story of the blue-headed creature....

I will try to explain what is the great blue thing of Vuelta.
The name of that mascot is “Pelegrin”, is the mascot of Xacobeo. It´s difficult for me to explain the meaning of Xacobeo. Mmmmm… In Galicia (a region of Spain) is a city called Santiago de Compostela. The “legend” says that in this city there are the rests of one of the apostles: Santiago. And people from all Spain or all Europe walk there. This is Xacobeo: the pilgrimage to Santiago. And “Pelegrin” is the mascot, OK?.
Galicia is one of the sponsors of Vuelta a España, and therefore this mascot get up to the podium with the winners.
Perhaps in this site you can find some information: www.xacobeo.es
