Local cyclists who have long-considered cycling into Boston will now have the opportunity to pedal their way into the Hub from several surrounding areas with a police escort and a team of guides as the city hosts its first series of “Bike Fridays”. The monthly event is an extension of the recent Bay State Bike Week and the upcoming Hub On Wheels citywide bike ride, which raises money for Boston school kids. “Bike Fridays” will also feature free breakfast and music on City Hall Plaza for the riders to enjoy once they finish their trek into the city. For more information, please go to www.cityofboston.gov/bikes.
