He's been here doing a few hit-and-run posts again.

The first one got two replies, the second 10, and the third (still new) has
three already. Not a positive trend.

Remember, trolls don't care what they say as long as you reply. Like a
noisy and ill-beahved child who does not have his mummy around, the only
way to deal with them is to ignore them.

A good spank works well, though.

sorry, that was me... however, even feeding trolls is more attractive
than the critical reflection I should be writing :-(

In this particular case, I reckon there's no gain to be had from replying at
all. His posts are stupid enough to not require the idiocy pointing out.

I agree. In all my years of using computer forums, I have never seen a
troll defeated by argument. Trolls don't care what people say to them as
long as they get a response of some kind. If people stop replying, a
troll always moves on in search of people who don't have the restraint
to ignore them.

I have seen them backed into corners which expose their agenda and
make whatever sense they may make in passing, obvious as
self-serving twaddle. But I guess you are right in that this is
Nuxxy's starting point, so there is no further benefit to be had.

Still, since he is singling me out by name (and I am not anonymous /
pseudonymous in any real sense), I'd say calling him on his
stupidity still counts as fair comment at some level.

You're falling for his trolling big-time, and you're making this NG a worse
place for it. Ignore him and he will eventually get bored and go away.

Perhaps, perhaps not. I happen to think that calling someone a
murderer demands at least some kind of reply.

The man's a numpty, everybody knows everything he writes can be ignored. The
fact that he calls you a murderer demonstrates how stupid he is - by simply
ignoring it, you show far more contempt than you do by engaging him. The
latter demonstrates you believe he has some credibility - and I rather hope
you don't believe that.

I wouldn't care if someone called me a murderer if I never got to hear about
it.

Wasn't it you who gave me a hard time for responding to Troll B?

He's done all the damage he can do to himself, nothing you can say will
add to it. We are now left at the point of Mark Twain's messgae:

"Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

Pete.
