What should I eat before and after a 40-70km ride? When should I eat it? Thank you!

pasta and many fish. after your ride. you can try orange smoothie which i used as a sports drink. i have stopped taking sports drink. i find it too cold for my body. i often had water nose and sneeze if i take sports drink. i think rice with beef is option. briyani beef is great before a ride i don't eat. maybe just something light if i am hungry. |

Before - banana smoothie is my food of choice
After - something that combines protein and carbs, eg. spaghetti bolognaise, sardines on toast, baked beans on toast, etc etc During the ride, probably a handful of raisins and pecan nuts at about the half-way point. |
