Finishing order doesn't seem to correspond to the times. Why are some with 0.00 behind some with 0.13? 57 Paolo Savoldelli (Ita) LPR Brakes 0.00 58 Laurent Mangel (Fra) AG2R La Mondiale 0.00 59 Tadej Valjavec (Slo) AG2R La Mondiale 0.07 60 Fabio Baldato (Ita) Lampre 0.13 61 Ryder Hesjedal (Can) Slipstream Chipotle Presented By H30 62 Marzio Bruseghin (Ita) Lampre 63 Paolo Bossoni (Ita) Lampre 0.00 64 Raivis Belohvosciks (Lat) Saunier Duval - Scott 0.13 65 Kevin Seeldraeyers (Bel) Quick Step 66 Adam Hansen (Aus) Team High Road 0.00 67 Nicolas Rousseau (Fra) AG2R La Mondiale 0.13 68 Jurgen Van Den Broeck (Bel) Silence - Lotto 0.00 69 Enrico Gasparotto (Ita) Barloworld 0.13 70 Nicki Sørensen (Den) Team CSC 71 Mathieu Perget (Fra) Caisse d'Epargne 0.11 72 Jens Voigt (Ger) Team CSC 0.13 73 Carlos José Ochoa (Ven) Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni-Androni Giocattoli 74 Lander Aperribay (Spa) Euskaltel - Euskadi 75 Gustav Erik Larsson (Swe) Team CSC 0.11 76 Alexander Efimkin (Rus) Quick Step 0.13 77 David Loosli (Swi) Lampre 78 Johannes Fröhlinger (Ger) Gerolsteiner 0.00 79 Dionisio Galparsoro Martínez (Spa) Euskaltel - Euskadi 0.13 80 Luca Mazzanti (Ita) Tinkoff Credit Systems 81 Riccardo Riccò (Ita) Saunier Duval - Scott 0.13 82 Christian Vande Velde (USA) Slipstream Chipotle Presented By H30 0.00 83 David Millar (GBr) Slipstream Chipotle Presented By H30 0.00 84 Leonardo Piepoli (Ita) Saunier Duval - Scott 0.13 85 Francesco Gavazzi (Ita) Lampre 86 Evgeny Petrov (Rus) Tinkoff Credit Systems 87 Jose Rodolfo Serpa Perez (Col) Serramenti PVC Diquigiovanni-Androni Giocattoli 0.07 88 Hubert Schwab (Swi) Quick Step 0.13 89 Andrea Tonti (Ita) Quick Step 90 Simon Spilak (Slo) Lampre 91 Riccardo Chiarini (Ita) LPR Brakes 0.00 92 Giairo Ermeti (Ita) LPR Brakes 0.00 93 Kanstantsin Siutsou (Blr) Team High Road 0.13 94 Timothy Gudsell (NZl) Française des Jeux 95 Gabriele Bosisio (Ita) LPR Brakes 96 José Rujano Guillen (Ven) Caisse d'Epargne 97 Danilo Di Luca (Ita) LPR Brakes 0.00 |

The race then continued to "The finish" so the sprinters could still compete for the time bouses. That's how Eurosport explained it. Jan |

I think this Q relates to crashed riders. If a rider crashes, and was in the final km with the lead group, he gets the time of that group. However, if he were to be passed by others before crossing the line, and these others were from a gapped group, he will get the placing at which he actually crossed the line, retaining, however, the 0:00 time of finish, while those who passed him will have a higher place with a time gap. This all depends on whether my coffee effectively roused my brain this morning. |

Final 3 km (1 km for team time trials). Increase dosage. |
