Default What do High Road and Slipstreme Manufacture?

With 3 Giro stage wins between the two teams thus far, I'm wondering
if these teams are ever going to land a true sponsor. The T-Mobil
severence and Doug Ellis' patronage wont last forever.....

Neither does believing that you tt faster on wet roads because your tires
slide like an ice skate on a layer of water.

Ohhh......so that's what's been bothering you.

I didn't say the bike "skates" along the road like some kind of Sasha
Cohen Ice Capades Show. What I said was the water reduces the
coefficient of friction for the tire. And that it's probably negligible.

The high humidity is also conducive to making you go faster.

Shouldn't you be on your rollers getting warmed up to race Somerville?

Bothering me? No way. I enjoy watching you work people into a lather because
they don't know where you're coming from. I just get my giggles knocking
down your screed once in a while.

Yeah, higher humidity is the key, not slipperier roads.

On a really trivial but related note, I wonder if there is measurable energy
used in dispersing water between the tire and the road and in flinging water
off the tire as it rotates?

However the energy consumed throwing the rooster tail
eats up any putative gains and more.

I agree, plus there's all the time you loose in the corners, sliding
into the hay bales...
