Default Wanted: Rear Suspension Shock

I don't know much about full suspensions bikes, but I picked up a frame
cheap and am working on a Frankenbike project.

I need a rear shock that will fit a 2002 Diamondback XSL. Not sure of the
overall shock length needed is, but this site states a 3.75" - 4.25" shock.
I assume that's travel, not the entire length.

The one measurement I do know about is the space available to mount the
shock. The frame and linkage measurements, inside edge to inside edge, is
28mm. I've seen posts with different widths, so I expect there are different
height bushings.

Anyway, can't spend much. Reply via e-mail if you've go something.

Thanks!
