You might find a charity in your area, like (http://www.fwbaclub.org/
bikes-for-tykes.cfm) such as we have here in Ft Worth TX, where you
could learn about bicycle maintenance and repair by refurbishing bikes
that are donated to kids and people who REALLY need transportation.
