LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) -- Giro d'Italia winner Danilo Di Luca has lost his appeal against a three-month ban in connection with the "Oil For Drugs" cycling scandal. <snip> CAS arbitrator Luigi Fumagelli also ruled against CONI, which sought a two-year ban for Di Luca under World Anti-Doping Agency guidelines for attempting to use a prohibited substance. CAS ruled that case -- relating to abnormal hormone levels recorded during Di Luca's Giro victory last May -- was not part of the "Oil For Drugs" proceedings. |
