Dark horse pick:
Nocentini, Gesink, Pellizotti and/or Hagen in no particular order (I'm
trying to cement my candyass credentials).

No, no.

The weather won't suit Valverde (showers at the end of the day, just
like at the Flèche W.).

Recovering Bettini won't make it over the new côte in the final (the one
in place of Sart Tilman; longer and steeper).

Kirchen is too heavy.

Ricco, who knows. Flashes of brilliance in between periods of
mediocrity. (Typical doper.)

Andy Schleck will play super domestique and won't be in the final
selection. (Btw, all CSC domestiques are super.)

I agree with Rebellin on the podium and not on the top step. I think
Gesink and Dekker will both be contenders, with Menchov breaking things
up on the penultimate côte. Cunego: definitely in the mix, as will be
Rodriguez.

It's hard to pick one. Podium: Cunego, Gesink, Nibali.

How about Piet Rooijakkers, he looked good a couple years
ago in the Ronde van Midden-Brabant.

Oh wait, the forecast has changed. Warm (18-20 degrees C), wind in the
back on the return leg (3-4 Bft), dry with some cloud cover.

Valverde looking good again.

I'd say he might be a good choice but he doesn't seem to be on the upswing lately.

Frank sounds like a good one - I'll say he gets it.

That's really true. They all know how to be good team players, too.

Cunego has been riding well lately. Podium for him, just not the top step.

Evans-of-all-people.

Unless he went too hard on Wednesday.

LBL is sometimes won by someone who
lacks a sprint.
