Default Doo de doo...

I'm posting my Craigslist ad selling four old bike frames here not
because I think you'll want to buy this crap, but because I think some
here may find the insight into my psyche somewhat amusing.

I propose we take up an RBR collection to buy the
pink/yellow/orange-fade frame for San Diego Steve.

Actually, that would make a pretty cool street/commuter/
fixed bike, for the hipster or poseur who dares. It's got
all the "I don't give a damn what you think or if you stare"
attitude, like a big tattoo or facial piercing, without the pain,
expense, or Clinger-istic implications.

Ryan, I think the ad pictures would improve if you hung
the frame on a wall and took the shot in full side-on
profile rather than angled down. Currently they look
like an archeological expedition dug them up out of
your yard (especially the Peugeot with its half buried
chainwheel). Unless you did dig them up rather than
take them out of climate controlled bike storage, and
it's truth in advertising.

Ben
I admit to having a purple and yellow bike.

I'll bet that Peugot came with textured-sidewall steel rims for ultimate stopping
power in the wet.

Would you trade for booze? (Yeah, I know - dumb question.)

I'll buy them all if you will cut the grass and then post pictures
afterwards. Doing my part to beautify Vancouver. It's got some
catching up to do.

I already have a very likely buyer for the pink-yellow-orange Ascente.
Astoundingly, it really is the best bike of the bunch.

That's probably true. The lawn was mowed, but I didn't trim it. The
giant crab grass clump messing up my photos is there because it's
between the pile of bikes and the herb garden, so my mower doesn't go in
there.

True story about the Peugeot: it's falling forward in that photo. In
classic half-assed fashion, I didn't bother taking a second shot.

There's a purple OCLV fork on my Pinarello. And thanks to corrosion, it
appears that state of affairs is more or less permanent.

We've seen your 'stache, we don't need to see what sporting that leads to.
