I think it's a 1999ish CT, but I'm not sure.

Well, the last generation of CT's made by Giant in Taiwan had welded
chain-stays with a curved brace, so it is not one of those. The BikeE
also had a shorter seat-back up to the mid-1990's, so it does look like
a 1998-99 model.
