After getting in too late to enter the 100km Ottway Oddysey mtb race a few
weeks ago I have decided to enter the BMC 100km on the premise that once I had spent the $100 I would definitely make the effort to get there for the race - especially as it is only an hour or so away from Melb (Woodend). I am not planning on doing any specific training for the event and will pretty well see how I go on the day. This is a similar strategy that I took for the 250km Around the Bay in a Day a couple of years ago and it worked OK then, although I have a sneaking suspicion that an off-road event might prove a little tougher!!! Anyone else heading up for the race from Melb?? Gags |

Not doing it, but I hear the course is flat and fast - expect a sub 4hr time for the winner.
