Default wheel noise

I've been hearing a thumping noise coming from my front wheel. It occurs when I apply the front brake. What could be causeing this noise? Wheel is Mavic Reflex Tubular with Conti sprinter. Recently glued. Thanks for your help

Glue hitting the brake block or a bit of basetape perhaps coming off, hitting the brake block.

After checking out suggestions from responces. I also looked in Sheldon Browns under strange noises The rim is new and upon inspection I found small high spot where rim is joined I adjusted the Brake pad The thumping although still there when brakeing hard became less Hopefully will continue to go away through use, Thanks for your suggestions Frank
