Default Oval (O'symetric) Chain Rings

Has anyone here ridden on oval chain rings, how do they feel different, are there any benefits?

I've installed a few and ridden the rig around. Feels weird but people say they get used to that. Very poor fder action, shifting to the big ring has to be very deliberate or you will shuck the chain.
