Question Need some help

Hey all,

Was freaked out recently when i had gone to the sh*tter, found a load of blood in the water, on the toilet paper and streaked down one side of my waste.

Not the nicest subject to talk about i know

It seems some days i can go and have nothing there, and some days i will go and will find fresh blood there.

I have also found that whilst washing i have a lump which is sore and itchy halfway into the entrance to my ass.

I have made an appointment with the doc for Friday 14th March.

I have a feeling that it could be Piles (Hemroid??) but am unsure and am also unsure if this will afect my cycling.

If it affects my cycling then i really wont be happy

I have no pain whilst sitting down or standing up other than at times a very constant ichtness that spans onto a level 5 (5 being most painful) which makes me want to stop what i am doing and scratch

Im trying not to get myself freaked out by it, but seeing blood from that part of you're body IS NOT NORMAL!

Any help will be much appreaciated as.

Ps. (a bit more gory detail) I find at times especially when it is itchy there is a yellow-ish mucus there seeping out.

Once again many thanks! and enjoy you're Friday!!

99% you have a hemeroid that ruptured... you really need to see your doctor because since it's ruptured you could have lots of bacteria getting into your blood system... not good... may need antibiotics.. all that mucus doesn't sound good...

your doctor is probably going to prescibe you extra strength Anusol supositories or similar.. i'd just run out and get those right away. it will shrink the swelling and since it's an ointment will protect it a bit and some have ani-itch...

on top of that keep the area clean... but don't disturb the area, don't scratch, don't rub hard... just put on some soap and run water on it to get the soap tapping is ok.. don't stick anything up there.. leave it alone an let it heal.

if it's really bad may need an opertation to fix... bad news is that once the hemeroid it there it's there there is no cure... you can only control welling with Anusol or similar only cure is to get it opperated on.

Many thanks, will have to go to and get them tommorow now, lloyds is shut

Is waiting until friday the 14th to long? If it has ruptured am i in danger of anything 'life threatening' or just a sick bug etc.

Also, is there a chance i can still cycle tonight?

Once again thanks for your help!

you might want to take a couple of days off for the swelling to go down but i don't really think that cycling is that bad... if you do go biking wash up right after the ride.. and again no scratching, no hard rubbing.. the thing you really don't want to be doing is sitting in chairs for very long... get up often and take a little walk (every 15-20min or so) and if you're home try to lay down rather than sitting as much as possible... sitting in chairs is your enemy... this will be true even after the swelling goes down.

you can't go to a walk-in clinic or something? just to make sure that it's not infected? i personally wouldn't wait... i might even go to the emerg even though here in Canada you might be looking at 4-5hrs before someone looks at you... bloody stools is not good.

Im going to be heading into the doctors on call tommorow afternoon, get this sorted once and for all.

I'll post what the doc says up here, may be of some use to any of cyclist with this.

Can't thank you enough docSpoc, you've calmed my nerves down greatly, and for that i really cannot say thankyou enough times

Thanks again,

Nathan J
