Howdy, I am planning on investing in some new shoes and clip in pedals for the first time. Do you have any reccomendations as to what brand of shoes or pedals to buy for performance road and touring?

However, any of the major brand quality shoes would probably be effective and, like ski boots, each shoe brand may suit one person's foot shape more than another's.

Yup. Decent shoes out there from most well established manufacturers. I am a very satisfied Sidi man. Careful on sizing - Sidis, for example run small and you will need to go up a size.

Spend more on the shoes than pedals. Make sure the shoes fit your feet really well.
