With Contadope out, who is the favorite?

Sanchez is targetting the race.

If Tommy D. ever gets well, I think he could do well.

Who is CSC bringing for G.C.?

Interesting and very attractive idea, but I think it's very possible it (stage) will be canceled or shortened.
It's not the time of year when you can every day and safe climb up to Ventoux (even from "easier" side)

Interesting to see that the route was designed for Contador. Obviously ASO didn't know they were going to exclude Contador when they designed it....

Stage 4 will climb Ventoux on the Malaucene side - but will only go as far as Mont Serein Ski Station.

Thanks, Lucy, for detailed explanation. I was lazy to check by myself.
The fact they'll climb "just" to 1400 meters above see level point makes this stage more certain. But I'm still doubtful if the weather conditions will allow the riders to complete it.
As I said, very attractive, I'm looking forward to it, but it's not certain.

Cycling heroes, ASO don't own the D-L - it's organised by, and named after, the newspaper in that region. But they may well wish to exclude the uberdopers from their race...
