Default tredmill and eliptical

idk if i spelled eliptical right. Anyway, i have both and was woundering what a good combination would be for training.

unfortionatly i don't have a trainer yet. im hoping to get one this weekend as well as my new bike.

Agree with Lewis, it will improve your overall fitness but not your riding.

It all depends on what kind of 'riding shape' you are in. Agree with the other posters... treadmilling et al will help your overall fitness, but will not do much for your riding.

Unless you have some extra weight to lose, in that case things like the treadmill can help you lose weight when riding is not an option because of work/daylight hours.

The elliptical is probably the next best thing though if being on a bike of some form is not possible. The leg motion is close to a pedalling action as if you're out of the saddle. The motion is roughly circular (er, elliptical ) as if you had short cranks.

I have an elite client who uses an elliptical trainer as an alternative when riding isn't an option.

Better than doing nothing.
