see:
http://www.eldersweather.com.au/vic...right?fc=108316 Sunday 15 / 32°C >>> Rainfall probability:70%, 20-40mm Doesn't look too promising, the forecast will probably change as we get closer. Climbing in the rain in Summer is actually quite enjoyable, but descending is another matter. |

I dunno, adds a bit of 'tension' to the ride .....I trust myself on wet descents, the problem with the 'Alpine' is that there's 1000 others to potentially 'take you out'....I'm relying on the weather not being as bad as predicted....but if it is, I might stay away from the masses & go do Hotham or something instead. |

Yeah the weather is a bit nasty looking at the moment, but as you said forcast will probably change between than and now also was the forcast for wang or melb as north of the divide will be very different (usually) to melb and gippsland. I for one am hopeing for the same perfect 27 we had last year.

No chance hitch-man. I'll push you up falls if I have to! Nothing like organsied chaos to liven up a long 200k ride. And you thought bay crits were dangerous... |

After the event I sat on the grass beside the finish area. I got 4-5 spots of rain. I went and sat under a tree. The rain stopped. That was it. I carried a rain jacket up and down those hills all day for that!
(Still, being caught without one on a long rainy ride is no fun.) |
