Default Ed, get well soon!

RoadBikeRider.com editor and publisher Ed Pavelka had a pulmonary embolism after hip replacement surgery.

Ed crashed while cycling on a transcontinental ride and broke his leg. Complications during healing meant he required a hip replacement.

After surgery a clot made its way to his lungs which as caused part of a lung has died.

I'm sure we all wish him a speedy recovery.

I hope to hear that you're cycling again soon Ed!

That is too bad. Pavelka used to write for Bicycling magazine back when it was worth something.

His hip injury sounds like what happened to Landis.
