Default Piccolo Park Velodrome

Is anyone out there a regular at Brian Piccolo Park Velodrome in Ft. Lauderdale area?

I will be in the area this weekend and was wondering about the facility. Should I drag my road bike down there or rent a bike from the drome. I have never ridden on a drome, but am excited about trying it. I used to work a block away from the Major Taylor Velodrome in Indy, so I have seen track racing before. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

I think my response is too late to help you, but it isnt my fault. Your post almost drowned in spam. Bring your pedals and rent a bike. They will not let you on with brakes and or freewheel .Call them first and make sure that someone is in the rental shop. Have fun.

Thanks Billsworld. Unfortunately it rained most of my time in Ft. Lauderdale. The lady behind the desk at the Velodrome (after I tore her away from the book she was reading) informed me about all of the things that you mentioned. She also said that I would have to wait until a track "coach" was there as well. I did catch a break in the weather and was able to ride the Crit course out back for about an hour on Saturday between showers. Hopefully the next time I am in-town, I will get a chance to ride.

Thanks for your help.
