Post Friedman Wins Gold in Men's Scratch Race at Beijing World Cup

Representing Team USA, Michael Friedman earned the gold medal in the menandrsquo;s scratch race at the UCI Track World Cup in Beijing on Saturday. Friedman out rode 24 of the worldandrsquo;s best in the final to secure the overall victory. The first-place finish puts Friedman third in the menandrsquo;s scratch World Cup standings with two events remaining. Becky Quinn also continued her success in the womenandrsquo;s points race with a strong fifth-place finish. Action will continue tomorrow with the third and final day of competition on the Olympic track in the Laoshan Velodrome.
