If it wasn't for a natlionally loved super star, Rock Hudson, who died of the shit, most of the world would not even be aware of it. Understand what it is. To begin with, the letter A stands for ACQUIRED! Which means it is passed on from person to person through constant contact. And the just how is it these drug abusers pay for their illicit drug habit? So why should I honor criminals? Why don't we have a national drunk driver's day instead? |

AIDS is a pandemic that extends way beyond drug using gay men. It has killed more than twenty-five million people world wide, making it one of the destructive epidemics in human history. In 2005, it killed about three million people, of whom more than 570,000 were children. But you're not the kind of person to let facts get in the way of your prejudices, are you? -- Support the troops: Bring them home ASAP. |

I understand completely what it is all about. I did lose a friend of mine to the shit. Do you know how many people there are in this country let alone the world? And those children were babies who were born with the aids in their system thanks to their drug abusing mothers and fathers. AIDS is not acquired as a natural birth right. According to the census beurau there are now 300,000,000 people in the USA alone. Plus a few million illegally. So you're given figure would represent about 1%. So why should we have a day set aside for that 1%, mostly gay males, who abuse drugs illegally? Why don't we have a national day for the 99% who do not do this in any way? If you're a guy and want to have sex with a consenting adult guy, that's your business. Just keep the drugs out of it. That's how aids is transmitted. Through being stupid and sharing needles. |
