The ride is good so far and now it just got better. I found a bottle cage that mounts to the handle bar so I put it on and now I can sip a coffee on the way to work. I have a 6 volt battery in the bottle cage thats on the seat tube and I drink water before I leave and when I arrive so having the coffee is nice and I found a pair of miniature speakers that plug into the top of my mp3 player so I can listen to the radio on the bike. I won't use earphones because that's too dangerous. I tried once but even with the volume lowered I was paranoid about not hearing vehicles so I will give the speakers a try.

Thats a pretty good idea with the radio as like you I would never have earphones in.
