In a situation with back to back races, would a topical cortico like betamethasone have any positive affect on recovery in between? I was recently perscribed the standard topical cream and have not filled the perscription because it was not useful to me at the time.

There have been rumors that topical corticosteriods have been used under the theory that the dose is lower and more targeted. Certainly small amounts applied locally don't have a much of an effect other than topical, but a large amount applied over the legs? I don't know. As in the Landis case and others doping with topical testosterone, topical doses are not as controlled as you might think... |
