What we need is a dispensable sticker that you can wack on the side of
a car/truck. Large enough to see from a distance, so you need to unfurl it from its storage in your jersey pocket, etc. The sticker has a message: Calm down. Stay off the drugs. Chill out. It's going to be alright. You'll get out of the traffic some day. But the key to this sticker is that it has an acid treatment that etches the paint off the vehicle, so the driver can't avoid the message by just ripping off the sticker. -- TimC The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up |

That leaves you open to liability of damage. Well serious dollars anyway. One option that one of our club members uses is about 1/2 A4 sized stickers that say "You shouldn't be parking here" (or words to that effect) used for those who insist in parking in disabled parking spots at the club without having a sticker. The adhesive side is of the "permanent" type, that doesn't come off real easy. In fact, if you leave it on for long enough, you need some serious elbow grease with solvents and a razor blade to even start to get it off. Works wonders on glass, especially when strategically placed in the line of sight of the driver. On paintwork, it'll stick between really well and not at all depending on the last time it was waxed. -- Linux Registered User # 302622 <http://counter.li.org> |

Currently working on a politer version to be distributed in the NY, or your concept has legs, we could design & workshop it? |

Heh! At some point last month whilst I was riding my motorcycle to Phillip Island for the GP, I came up behind a car with a bumper sticker reading "Touched by an Angel". After some thought over dinner that evening, we decided that an appropriate companion sticker for it would be "Molested by a Clergyman." ;-) BTH |

We get a 5-minute rush hour at quittin' time here in Dubbo, but that's the only time you'll see traffic. The idea was triggered by something I read in another froup (a rager truck driver who managed to push his way up 8 spots in the moving carpark). That and my memories of riding in Melbourne. Although, on night shift Saturday night, we had the yearly Festival of the Stars concert where Kate Ceberano (babe) sang. So all of Coona's cars drove back to town after the concert at 10:30. I happened to go out on the dome catwalk at about then, and saw a line of all 500 cars snaking their way back to town. I went back in to drag one of the observers out, and by then it had already mostly dissipated. 500 cars, 50km trip to town, a large portion of which can be seen from the catwalk (we can see 1/10th of the state from up here, afterall), and yet this once a year peakhour lasted all of 5 minutes. -- TimC I repeat myself when under stress. Maybe something more positive/less agro, e.g. "Cyclists - if you can't beat them, join them"? And a handbill through the window? (I know - you were just musing). Donga |

Get some." Can't find a suitable picture though. |
