Default Bike ban next on BA?

Read this article - ( http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/.../06/2082860.htm ) - seems surfboards are being banned on BA planes.
Will bikes be next?

Default Re: Bike ban next on BA?

I shudder to think how bikes might be treated by the airlines in the future. As a musician who sometimes has to fly with his horns, Its often hard enough to get those on board. Bikes, just like horns that get put as checked baggage are in a world of hurt. The airlines are going to go through every package anyway, and then its not going to be repacked the same. Its basically a gaurantee our bikes wont be in one piece when we get off the plane!
