A few months ago I purchased a used Novara Safari from an REI garage sale in my area. I did a bunch of training rides on the bike before I set off on my big ride.
Two weeks ago I started a two year cycling trip through North/South America and Africa. I'm going to spend a year riding from New Jersey, America to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I'm going to make my way to South Africa and spend a year riding from Cape Town up to Cairo. I'm an English teacher and every three to four months I'm going to stop to volunteer to teach English for one month at a local school. When I stop to volunteer, I'm going to be working on projects with four schools back in America. The projects are designed to help link my students on the road with students back in the states. I have a website that explains the trip in more detail with blog posts, a route map, gear list, and some other pages. Check it out if you're interested: www.teacherontwowheels.com hope everyone is doing well! Andrew
