Hey all.
New to the forums here, just wanted to get some opinions on my recent purchase (eBay win) of a 2005 LeMond Reno Got it for $400 (including $100 shipping) It's a 2005 - used, but in mint condition. Here are some vitals: - Aluminum Frame - Carbon fiber fork, and seat post - Shimano Tiagra triple crank and front derailleur - Shinmano 105 rear derailleur - SRAM Cassette - Shimano Tiagra STI shift/brake levers Here are some pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() I think i got a STEAL on this bike, since i've never seen a 2005 reno being sold for less than $700 Any/all opinions welcome. Thanks!! |

Hi and welcome to the forums,
I think Lemond make some nice bikes - in looks and in feel. My friend once owned a Lemond Nevada City that I used for a fair while - the same frame as the Reno but with lower Sora components and it was a very nice ride. It felt solid and stable, much better than some other brands at a similar price that I have ridden. So yes, I think $500 in a pretty good buy. |

get yourself some clipless pedals, you will notice the difference. Something like Shimano 540 are cheap and easy to use.

sorry I misread, that's even better. Are you in a bike club, or do you plan to join, or just recreational. |

Hi Ex
Beautiful bike and good running gear so quite a bargain I would say from my limited experience, as I just paid over twice that for a new bike with Sora running gear. If I were you I would be reluctant to take it out and get it dirty, it is choice Perhaps that is why it is is mint condition, the previous owner couldn't bear to get it dirty either Enjoy it but don't bend it, I would be most upset!! cheers, AdamVW ![]() |

but I just cant help noticing the made in taiwan sticker on the front of the frame..it sounds comical being an american name and all.Surely lemond gets the time to build his own frames or are we wrong |
