Hi guys
need some buying advice Looking to buy my first road bike,i'm mainly a long distance runner but recently started doing sprint duathlons which i'm loving. For example most the races are 3k run,14k bike,3k run or slightly longer. I'm looking for a decent road bike ideal for sprinting , without going down the TT bike route because I like to train on local hills and through the lanes where some of the road are very uneven. I've had my eye on a secondhand cannondale six13 saeco with a 2005 frame (carbon/allu)ultegra setup, its within my budget anyone tried out this bike? do you think it would be good for short races? I need a light stiff bike ideally with a frame to suit my size. I'm told by the local bike shop i need a size 54cm, i'm 5.8 with 31 inside leg my current bike i've borrowed is a size 49cm with narrow handle bars, campag veloce and weighs 23lbs which feels heavy to me,buti could wrong i know little about road bikes. thanks |
