I am thinking of purchasing a Mongoose wing comp. I can pick up a 2003 model for $529. Is this a good bike for the money or is there a better bike for the same price. I dont want to spend any more money than I am, a really want dual suspension. The stats are as follows:
7005 alloy frame with cromoly rear Trianagle, 4 bar linkage forks - mozo usa R-120 Alloy - 76mm travell rear shock - mozo rs200 coil cover brakes - promax linear pull Fr derraileur - shimano c-050 RR derraileur - shimano altus Shifters - Ef-28 Ez-fire Freewheel - Sunrace 7 spd Cassette 11-30t Crankset - shimano ty40 alloy 42-32-22t steel rings Rims - Alex Z-1000 alloy 32h black Hubs - oversized alloy, double seal, black I'm mainly a weekend hack riding through the hills of perth, eg Jarradale, lesmurdie. Your thoughts would be appreciated. ![]() |

I personally wouldn't go mongoose anymore since they went downhill since going bankrupt. They're the type of company that sells at Toys R Us or Walmart, or a hypermart like Tesco or Carrefour. I personally would either wait for a year end sale or go for a Giant or Kona bike.
