Default Well, I've finished my first road century.

A bit of x-post.

It was a local roadie club ride/race (completely underground one, autorities would not allow anyone to block roads for a fecking road race here).

On a hardtail with 1.5" slicks I did it in 5:06. Average speed 31.6 km/h. I can't say I'm exhausted, but I'd never ridden in a group before and was a bit apprehensive. It turned out pretty easy, self-preservation instinct works.

For 9 years of MTB-ing (never had a road bike and not gonna have while I live here), I'd never ridden more than 124 km on road and never ridden more than 135 km off-road (in a last year's 6h enduro).

Actually, it was boring despite pleasant scenery and extremely low (by any measure) traffic. I don't think I'm gonna do it again. Nothing aches except I can't sit down and stand up, my a..e rebeled just after I'd finished.
