Default Katy Trail near 40/64 off of 94 near Definace MO I think.

Hello,
Anyone near the St. Louis area that is familiar with the Katy trail system. Today I went out and finally found the entrance to it off of 94 just down the road from the turn off to the Missouri Conservation Area. It looks to be mostly for mnt bikes and not a road bike. I did notice just a little ways down on 94 I saw cars parked down in a area on the right and on the left seems to be a entrance to a abandoned road. I am thinking this is where the road bikers go. I just moved to Wentzville and looking for some good trails to ride with my road bike. I prefer places with little car traffic. My old location in arkansas had a nice civil war park with a 7 mile loop I could ride around a few times. I apologize if this is the wrong forum but any information would be great. Thanks Bill
