Default Training and racing with a powermeter

Hi Guys

I have a question about how you define your power profile in the book.
My profile it's in shape "v" and the book say's that this kind of shape it's very difficult to find.

Why is that? and what should i do?

Thanks for any kind of help

Are you doing specific 1 and 5 minutes tests? They have to be really hard and painful, especially the 1 minute one.

Because you haven't done all out tests for the two middle (1 and 5 minute) durations. People who race will sometimes see close to their best 5M power in races, if the hard sections (climbs or whatever) are suitable, but its nearly impossible to generate your max 1M power without specifically testing for it.

Tests for all the durations, if you really want to use that tool robustly.
